February 2012

This is one of the last NL of SAPUVETNET III as a project. Unfortunately in May we will edit our last NL as a group financed by the European Union. The good news is that this was not a motive to demotivate. Instead quite the opposite, we searched new opportunities to keep us together. This need and will, prove of solidity and sustainability, which the group could achieve as an all, is shown in the several activities of both European and Latin American members. We will keep you updated about the success of each one of those.

May 2011

The sharing of experiences and knowledge gradually resulted in products that we, with a common spirit of openness and exchange to all members, intend to have available for everyone interested in the Veterinary Public Health (PH) field.
In this first Newsletter (NW) of 2011 we must focus the pursuit of the goals directed to the needs of the members of the project, but opened however to other professionals who have shown an increasingly interest for our work: the settlement of a minimum curriculum to be followed in the Veterinary Public Health teaching, the preparation of a manual of Veterinary Public Health and the development of several Case studies, as well as other relevant teaching materials.

November 2010

We are glad to see that as we live and work, and built bridges of friendship together, the work becomes easier and fructiferous. This Newsletter reflects that reality and shows the rising of veterinary public health groups linked to the different universities. It is worth noting the Peru group dynamism, the vigorous rising of Santa Catharina’s University group in Brazil as an example and motivation for the rest of the universities. We hope that further Newsletter may reflect an even greater growth.

Thanks to all that contribute to the achievement of the project goal’s.

December 2009

Welcome to our second Newsletter!

In this issue we have a large share of stories from members of the Project as we reached the second half of 2009.
We present the results of the second coordination meeting of the Project, in Brazil, the activities held for the World Rabies Day in several countries, the enthusiastic initiative SAPUVET-Peru, the main results of the Second Electronic Conference, held in December 2009, the initiatives that promote the SAPUVETNET III impact on the academic community and the inclusion of new members in the Project.
In this issue we underline the success of the Second Electronic Conference, in which the debate on the strategies that may be implemented in universities towards the development of the concept of "One World, One Health" was very rewarding and valuable.
As you read about our activities, you will understand that we have embarked on a Dream of which you are an important part. We invite you to share your voice and thoughts in this second year. Travel while reading and seeing pictures of the different countries involved in this issue!

NEWSLETTER I/2009 (download .PDF)

July 2009

This semester, our Newsletter brings new information on the project SAPUVETNET III and on activities conducted by members of this Network.
Since this is the first newsletter on Veterinary Public Health coordinated by Europe and Latin America, we will be presenting not only the inaugural meeting in Bogota, Colombia, but also the objectives and activities for the next 3 years.
Also, we will focus our attention on the electronic conference carried out between 1 and June 7 of 2009, to begin preparations for the World Rabies Day. This e-conference was very successful, not only because of the number of participants gathered, but also because of the great quality of the shared comments, experiences, perspectives and programs, both from Europe and Latin America.
Likewise, our readers will learn about the SAPUVETNET III partnerships developed during the first 6 months of work, in order to achieve the greatest possible impact in the academic community.
In this issue you can also read about the experience of the La Salle Veterinary Faculty, in Colombia, in developing a video conference on H1N1 influenza.
Finally, we would like you to feel free to communicate any concerns or news which you believe may nurture this space and/or are of common interest. Please write to: info@sapuvetnet.org
We hope you enjoy reading our newsletter!
